Valentine’s Day Tutorial – Evening Purple Smokey ft. Milani Bella Shadows

I am really excited to share this look and tutorial with you all today!  This is another collab, my dear friend Honey, from youtube, came up with and invited me to do with her; using our Milani Bella shadows, and other drugstore products.  She created a daytime look, and I did a look for night.  To watch her tutorial click here (also check out her photos and read all about her creation on her blog).  I saw a photo of her look and it is gorgeous!!! I am looking forward to seeing how she put it all together.

I wanted to do a purple smokey, with a light purple lip, but I did not want the purple to be too bright, or too dark. To watch how I created my look, please feel free to click on the video below!

For my makeup look I used the following products:

– Milani Eye Shadow Primer

– Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded

– Milani Bella Purple Satin Matte Eye Shadow

– Milani Bella Pink Shimmer Eye Shadow

– Milani Bella Black Satin Matte Eye Shadow

– Milani Bella Ivory Satin Matte Eye Shadow

– Jordana 12 HR Made To Last Liquid Eyeliner Pencil in Black Point

– L’Oreal Manga Waterproof Mascara in Black

Personal Update for Using the Hinoki System

I want to apologize to all who have been wondering about the Hinoki System I once wrote about months ago; I had yet to discuss it again.  I did want to let me readers know (thus I am doing so now) that I had stopped using this line some time after the post I put up in regards to it, as it didn’t work out for me, and will not be doing any more posts in regards to it.

Gold and Blackened Blue Sapphire Nails

nail look

After I had received my Zoya order in the mail, I wanted to break in my new polishes badly.  I decided to try Imogen, Dream and Severine first.  For a base, I applied my Rainbow Honey’s All Your Base on all my nails first.  On my ring finger nails I used Dream (the sapphire blue) and then over that I applied Imogen (the black holographic sparkle Pixie Dust).  I painted my other finger nails with the smooth looking gold polish, Severine, and finished them off with a New York Color’s clear top coat.  I really liked how each of polishes looked on my nails alone, however I don’t know if I liked my Dream and Imogen combo with the gold.  It was fun experimenting, though.

What new polishes have you tried lately? What do you think of them? Please feel free to comment below!

Zoya Nail Polish Haul

zoya1

Yesterday, finally an order of mine from Zoya arrived in the mail.  I saw a sale back in January, I believe it was, for three for free ( I just had to pay for shipping), and an exclusive, mystery mini trio set, which was also free.  It sounded like such a great deal, that I did cave and made an order on their website.

When I opened up my surprise trio, I was overwhelmed by the adorable little bottles. They are just darling!  And the three full sized polishes I had selected look so beautiful; I am excited to try them on soon!!

zoya mini severine

Zoya Mini in “Severine”

This gold looks exciting! I think I may want to try this out first!!

zoya mini anais

Zoya Mini in “Anais”

This black seems to have the faintest hint of shimmer to it.  I am wondering how it will look under some of my Rainbow Honey glitter polishes.

zoya mini charlott

Zoya Mini in “Charlott”

This looks like a cream, off white to me.  I don’t usually wear white polish, but I would like to see what I can do with it, and break out of my comfort zone.

zoya india

Zoya Full Sized “India”

I have been really interested in trying more red nail polishes with lots of shimmer.  This red with coppery gold shimmer looked so pretty on the website, that I just had to order it.

zoya dream

Zoya Full Sized “Dream”

Back in highschool, I loved wearing a sapphire, royal blue nail polish, especially on my toe nails.  I have been wanting to try this kind of nail polish again.

I don’t normally wear much black nail polishes, but the sparkles against the dark shade really fascinated me.  It looks stunning in person!

Have you tried any of these polishes? What do you think of them? What are your favorite nail polishes to wear? Please feel free to comment below!!

A few weeks ago, my friend Honey on youtube, came up with an awesome collab for Valentine’s.  We would each do a look with our Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette; I would be using the original Chocolate Bar for my look, and Honey would use her Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar for hers.

I was indecisive for a while as to what color scheme and placement I wanted to do.  I am glad I chose the look I will be sharing today.  The colors came together as I had hoped.  To see how I created my Valentine’s look, feel free to click the video below.

– Urban Decay Dual 24/7 End Eyeliner (Venus/Crave) the Crave end

– L’Oreal Black Water Proof Manga Mascara

I really need to use this palette more often!!  It smells so delicious, and the shadows feel so soft, while I apply them.  It was great seeing how this look came together using it.  I want to thank Honey for inviting me to do this collab!! It was fun playing with Too Faced together!!!

My Favorites Lately – Makeup, Clothes and More!

It has been months since my last favorites post, and there has been various items I have been wanting to share, over the span of the last few months; so I will be sharing them in this one post.  To hear me talk about each feel free to watch the video below!

tarte flush3

I won this Tarte power pigment crayon, flush, from an instagram giveaway. I have been in love since I received it. To me it looks like a pinky, berry, red. It doesn’t dry out my lips and I really like how it looks on me.

butter london jaded jack cream eye shadow

I received many lovely things from my friend, Honey, for Christmas; one of which was this Butter London cream eye shadow in Jaded Jack. It is an exquisite shade, and I like how it looks on my lids. It is soft, and creamy. When I apply it, it feels wonderful!!

colour pop partridge

When I experimented with my Butter London cream shadow and Colour Pop’s stunning peacock green and brown shadow, in Partridge (from their Not A Box Of Chocolate’s set), I was amazed!!!  I applied Partridge over Jaded Jack, and the result was so beautiful.  The two complimented each other so well, and really made my green hazel eyes stand out.  I love wearing these two together!

swatches2

Here are swatches of Tarte’s Flush Crayon, Butter London’s Jaded Jack, and Partridge.

pacifica mexican cocoa

One of the fragrances I have been enjoying as of late is Pacifica’s Mexican Cocoa perfume, that I had purchased several months ago from Pacifica’s website.  It smells of spice to me.  The notes for this fragrance are Mexican Chocolate, Cinnamon, Almond, Nutmeg, and Vanilla.  To read more about this fragrance and my thoughts, check out my review here.

marula oil

After I work my Marula oil (that I had won in an Ipsy glambag challenge) into my legs, after I have shaved, my legs feel so luxuriously soft!!  This oil is just wonderful, and I really enjoy using it.

softlips cube

On my instagram, I posted a small drugstore haul, a little over two weeks ago.  In that haul, was the softlips cube.  Since then, I have used up about half of it.  It tastes and smells so fruity, and feels smooth on my lips.  I will definitely be repurchasing this lip balm when I run out.

roses cross double ring

My mother-in-law said this cross double ring reminded her of me, when she gave it to me for Christmas.  I do love it! It’s just darling! I love roses and actually did not have a double ring before now.  I have seen them around, but just hadn’t picked one up yet.  This is lovely and a good fit for me.

off shoulder zulily

This off-shoulder grey top, I had ordered a while back from Zulily, has become a go to of mine. It is so warm and comfortable.  I really would like to get more in other colors eventually.

black jeanez ripped jeanez

About a month or two ago, I saw an infomercial on tv for a brand called Jeaneez.  They sell leggings with jean print on them. I saw Jeaneez had a buy one get two deal so I decided to make a purchase.  All three I enjoy wearing, but the black and the “ripped” printed ones are my favorites.

What have you been liking lately? Have you tried any of these favorites of mine? What are your thoughts? Feel free to comment below!!
