My May 2014 Favorites

In May, I explored new horizons in regards to cosmetics.  I played with some new palettes and drugstore lippies.  Some of these products have even followed me to present – they are THAT good!!  If you want to hear me talk about it all check out my youtube video via this link: http://youtu.be/PLo0FXOa900

Below I have provided close up pictures of what made the cut for May; as well as prices and information of where to locate it.

This Summer Juice perfume roll on I received in last month’s Rainbow Honey mystery bag smells amazing!! I love to layer it with Viva La Juicy or Golden Delicious perfumes. The rollerball fragrance possesses a sweet, fruity, citrus aroma.  They have yet to list it on their site, but I am hoping they will soon. Their other rollerballs sell for ten dollars.

After watching my favorite beauty gurus eleventhgorgeous and Honey rave about the Maybelline elixer lipglosses, I decided to give it a go. At my Walmart, I picked up this sweet peachy toned lipgloss called Breathtaking Apricot. I enjoy its smooth application, construction of the wand pad, and gorgeous color! (This lipgloss is currently being sold at Walmart online for $6.49, and at Ulta online for $8.99)

My jaw hit the floor when I saw the Loreal Colour Riche lipsticks marked down to three dollars and change at my local Walmart (originally around seven dollars). I bought three and two made this month’s favorites. This lipstick is in the color Pink Vinyl.  It is a very pretty barbie pink color.  It feels smooth and creamy on the lips; not drying at all.  The pigmentation is very good.  My hubby likes this one on me, too. (You can find this online at Walmart for  $7.97)

The second Loreal Colour Riche lipstick to make my favorites is in the color Sunset Angora – which is a pretty medium pink nude shade. (You can find this online at Walmart for $7.97)

I bought this Too Faced Natural Eyes palette in a set that was on sale via Too Faced Cosmetics’ website. The pigmentation is gorgeous and feels smooth and buttery when applied. As my Rue beauty dupe for this palette was starting to get old looking (crumbly texture, and cracking), I decided to let it go and try something else, and so far I am loving this palette!! (The palette itself is currently being sold on Too Face’s website for $36, at Ulta in store and online, and at Sephora in store and online for the same.)

I believe I have been using my Laura Geller baby cakes baked to go palette since April. With the blush, bronzer, and eyeshadows conveniently placed in one palette, it has made quick application a breeze! The shades are stunning and a little goes a long way. I bought this palette, during their spring sale, on Laura Geller’s official website for $30.60 (reg. priced at $42).

This dual ended brush came with a limited edition Tarte palette I bought back in 2013. Since then, it has become one of my most reached for brushes for eye shadow application. The shade end is perfect for packing color on the lid and the domed on the other applies shadow into the crease beautifully. As of right now, I am unable to locate this particular brush online. And normally, it is sold in some of their eye shadow palettes. The palette I bought last year was around thirty-six dollars.

Last month, I discovered a shop on Ebay that sells handcrafted, Native American inspired, beaded earrings. I bought a couple of pairs, but of the two I found this black and turquoise quilled one dazzling. I paid $11.55 for this pair. The shop (the_pottery_guys) sells these and other beaded earrings, too.

For Mother’s Day, my mom made me this pretty wooden, embossed, hinged box. I love anything made by mother and this is very precious to me. I have been using this storage as a jewelry box to hold my stone and Native American jewelry, and a few watches.

I hope you enjoyed catching up with my favorites for May.  If there is anything you would like me to do an in depth review on, please let me know!  What have you been lovin’ lately? I would love to hear all about it! Feel free to comment below!!

❤ Beth.
